Plant Care for Zone G

The State is divided into different zones according to climate and soil type. Determining your appropriate zone will help determine the care needs of your plants and the type of plants which are suitable for your garden.

And the following counties:
Brooks, Cameron, Duval, Hidalgo, Jim Hogg, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kleberg, Nueces, San Patricio, Starr, Webb, Willacy, Zapata

While geologic formations don't follow county lines, you can use the list of counties to help determine your zone on the map. If you live on the margin of a zone, you may want to read information for both zones as you plan your gardening activities.
